 The South African Sports Coalition, in partnership with various sports ministries of South Africa, will be hosting a1-2-3 Sports Ministry Conference early 2009. This conference encompasses training in sports ministry with the aim of preparing Christian communities for major sport events, such the FIFA Soccer World Cup, Olympic Games, etc.
This unique training opportunity is especially geared towards empowering and mobilizing local churches/ministries to prepare themselves for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup as well as the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup, which is said to be the most spectacular and greatest sporting extravaganza on the earth. Both these events will be hosted within South Africa. It is the first time in history of the Game that any African nation will be hosting this premier event, i.e. FIFA Soccer World. These major sport events will provide platforms to serve, to create a sense of unity and purpose, as well as opportunities to make friends, to do outreach through sharing the Gospel in a variety of creative ways and to demonstrate the love of Christ to all God
The conference will take place from 23rd February to 1st March (breakfast) 2009 at the Baptist Conference Centre Roodeport.
The total cost to attend the Conference will be R950,00 per person which needs to be paid upfront. This fee will include registration, accommodation, meals, and conference resources. Should you choose to attend as a daily visitor the cost would be R350. Each person will be responsible for their own transportation arrangements, including the payment thereof.
