Dear Prayer Warriors,
On Wednesday, we had a planned visit to a church in the City of Maputo and expected 50 children to attend. Praise the Lord. There were approximately 400 children that participated in the children’s games, received the gospel message and were welcomed outside to refreshments.
In the evening, the Group went out to test the local cuisine and on the way back, Bernie was pulled-over for a faulty light and no licence and car documents in his possession. The traffic officer wanted to fine us 4 000 Meticais (R1 000). Bernie fetched his documents from home and returned to the patrol area. The police officer still insisted we pay the ‘fine’ to him and when we asked him for the official ticket to go and pay at the local police station, he basically suggested the fine be reduced to 200 Meticais. We insisted that he issue the original fine amount which he then cancelled and accepted our gift of a Bible. Our translator, Mathew, ministered the Gospel and presented him with the Bible.

Although our program has been hectic, we were able to visit the new Stadium and watched the soccer on Sunday.
Monday was a really blessed day and a great start to a busy week which is planned around doing two outreaches per day.
On Monday, we visited two schools in the town of Mapola, one of which was Escola Primaria 04 de Octubro. Apart from ministering to 150 primary school children, we played a soccer game as well, with some older boys and the children enjoyed the refreshments and sweets that were provided, too.
Today, Tuesday was another successful day. Four outreaches!! - where the Team were also able to minister to college students at the Baptist Bible School.
